Introducing an all new crochet along from Polly Plum! (That’s me.) In a Tizzy is a square blanket pattern of any size with a very unique construction. So unique, in fact, I haven’t figured out how to describe it in words yet. Let’s just say it’s constructed by making 4 triangles and joining them as you go.
If you’d prefer to listen to me talk about the CAL and tell you what you need for it, you can watch the intro video below. Otherwise, read on..
MOST IMPORTANT!
SERIOUSLY. READ THIS PART.
The pattern is totally FREE and will be available in four installments here on my blog and video tutorials will be free on YouTube.
OR, buy the premium PDF version of the pattern and get a beautifully designed, printable, ad free pattern to add to your pattern binder all while supporting a small business.

- You get to directly support a small business and a family. Really! Isn’t it nice to know where your money is going? When you support family businesses you know you’re helping them pay rent or electricity bills or just buy more diapers.

What if I don’t want to buy anything?
Great! You don’t have to! You can still make the whole blanket from the free version of the pattern on my blog or in the video tutorials. It’s the exact same pattern.
What if I don’t want to buy anything but still show some support?
That’s so sweet of you! And very much appreciated. Please share this CAL with your friends who crochet. Share pictures of what you make in Facebook groups and on Instagram. Browse through my blog. Look at my other patterns (lots more are free!). Word of mouth is the best marketing!
Where can I buy the PDF?
You can buy the PDF on…
On Etsy too, but here’s the catch. Etsy’s not setup to manage events like this. So when you check out you’ll be asked to confirm you understand you won’t be receiving the pattern via Etsy downloads, you’ll paying Etsy but receiving the pattern parts via Ravelry. Then you’ll include the email address you want the pattern updates sent to.
A note on Ravelry accessibility: I understand this system isn’t perfect for everyone. If you cannot use Ravelry at all because of accessibility issues, please note that where you enter your email address on Etsy and I will email your copy from my business email. This is just for the duration of the CAL, because as soon as the CAL is over the entire pattern PDF will be available on Etsy.
When can I buy the PDF?

Materials
- Yarn – I used 5 cakes of Lion Brand Mandala Ombre in Happy and designed the pattern with self-striping yarn cakes in mind, especially those with bold color changes.
However, this pattern will work great in just about any yarn you want to use. - Hook – 5mm or whatever is appropriate for your chosen yarn.
- Scissors and yarn needle for weaving ends.
- Blocking supplies – fabric steamer (optional), blocking mats or other surface (not shown), tape measurer, pins, blocking wires (optional)
Alright, I think that about covers it. If you have any questions the best place to ask them is in the Polly Plum Pattern Posse Facebook group where the admins and pattern testers will have quick and reliable information for you.
