Hi guys! Week 7 is here and it’s all about triangles. These little babies are probably my favorite part of this entire afghan. They are also the smallest part, and they are the most advanced part. But don’t worry! There will be plenty of support if you need it.
This week’s assignment:
Rounds 1 through 4 of the triangle motifs
Tips:
- Grab your smaller hook (5mm according to the pattern) for the triangles. You don’t want these to come out too big and bulge at the sides of your afghan.
- Get on over to the Lotus Moon CAL Facebook group for video demonstrations of all the tricky parts of the triangle. It’s all in the weekly video this week.
- Also check out the Facebook group for a super special tip on how to work into picots perfectly every time.
- We’ll worry about joining our triangles next week, but if you’re using the same color for rounds 4 and 5 of your triangle you can either wait until next week, or be bold and try joining on your own.
- There will be a video demo of the join next week because joining the corners of these little guys is different from the squares or octagon motifs.

Hi, Polly, have just bought Lotus Moon Tiles pattern, am trying to make the triangles, boy, is this a DOOZY.
I am at a complete stand still as to go. Have tried to get onto the facebook page, even signed up, just so I could see the video, but am not able to even get on the page. Would you please let me know how to get to the videos.

I bought the lotus moon tiles some time ago(when it was a cal) I didn’t get time to finish it , but now need to do the triangles, but I’m at s loss as to how to do them. Is the video still accessible ?
Hi Polly I have recently bought your Lotus Moon Tile pattern to make, it is stunning however I cannot get the triangles to work for me. I asked two friends who are experienced crocheters to help but they couldn’t get it to work either. I tried to access the tutorial on your web page but that was unavailable so I’m stuck. Could you please advise how I can access a video about this. I can’t make the blanket if I can’t get the triangles sorted out to complete it. Hi Chris! Yes, the triangles can be difficult. There are video tutorials available in the Polly Plum Pattern Posse Facebook group (found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/pollyplumcrochetpatterns/ ). You’ll need to be a member to access them though.
