Welcome to week 8 of the Lotus Moon Tiles CAL! We’re so close to the finish line now, and this week and next will be so easy.
Your assignment this week:
Round 5 of the triangles while joining as you go / or just round 5 and join with your own join method.
After joining the octagons and squares, this week should be no problem for you.
Keep these tips in mind while you work:
- The edge of the afghan will have slight bumps where the triangles are joined. They should be slight, not very obvious. See my picture above. I did not stretch or block the edge of the afghan for that photo. It’s laying naturally and the bumps are slight.
- You may want to keep your stitch markers in the corner chain spaces around the edge of the afghan to make them easy to find when we start the border. This will also help you keep count of your stitches because you can count the stitches between stitch markers instead of the whole long side of the afghan.
- There’s an error in the stitch counts for round 5 join-as-you-go. It says there are two picots, but if you’re joining as you go there are two ch3 spaces instead.
That’s it for this week! See? Easy peasy.
Make sure and post your picture of your gorgeous afghans in the Lotus Moon CAL Facebook group. And if you still need to pick up a copy of the pattern, you can get it on Ravelry.
