Meet square 12 of the Stardust Melodies Crochet Along – Honeysuckle Rose. This sweet little square uses techniques we’ve already covered in previous squares from the crochet along so should work up pretty easily, though I’ve given it an intermediate skill level rating.
This is our sixth eBook exclusive pattern, so, yes, you’ll have to purchase a copy of the eBook to get it. If you have already done that, just look for the update email or Ravelry message. If you don’t have the eBook yet you can still get it at a discount ($6 off through July 3, 2017) with couple code “Stardust.”

I do love this square, but my favorite part might just be the name. Honeysuckle Rose is an old-old school jazz standard by Fats Waller and I’ve adored it since the first time I heard it performed, which was by Ella Fitzgerald. While there doesn’t seem to be a lot of variation in the recordings by different artists over the years, it seems to have stood the test of time with jazz musicians still performing it today.
It’s a fun and cute little song and I recommend giving it a listen. Check out our Stardust Melodies YouTube playlist of all the songs from the CAL which now includes some great renditions of Honeysuckle Rose.
And finally, a quick reminder that next week we’ll be on intermission. Yep, the admins and I have scheduled ourselves a little break so we stay fresh for you and so that you have a chance to catch up a little if you need it. If you don’t need it, hang in there! We’ll be back in business on July 3rd.
Have fun making Honeysuckle Rose!
