Well we’re getting down to the last of our pattern for the Stardust Melodies Crochet Along series, and I just can’t believe it. We’ve come so far! We’ve done so much! You’ve done some amazing work! But we’re not done yet, so let’s not get all teary-eyed quite so soon. Today is only square 23. We still have another square and borders to worry about, so for today, let’s focus on this new pattern – Dream a Little Dream of Me.

I knew from the start I had to include “Dream a Little Dream of Me” in our line up. It’s one of my all time favorite songs. I sing it all the time. I never seem to tire of it.
I was inspired to create something dreamy and starry for this gorgeous song, but I also wanted something simple that hopefully feels classic and sweet. The stitches remind me of – what I believe is called – eyelet fabric. I can see something hazy in distant memories in my mind – my mother sewing, or maybe curtains in our house. I’m not entirely sure. Either way, the little twinkling stars make me smile dreamily.
This square is a free-for-everyone pattern which means the pattern is available free to view and print from everytrickonthehook.com and the video tutorial is free to view via YouTube.com. If you purchased the Stardust Melodies eBook you’ll received an update with a printable PDF version of the pattern and the chart that is exclusive to the eBook.
If you have yet to purchase the eBook you can get it in my Ravelry store for $3USD off with coupon code “stardust” through the end of the CAL – August 14, 2017, or simply click here to buy now.
I will encourage you to watch the video tutorial at least for one of the stars just to see me do it. This pattern is deceptively simple. While most rounds are just single crochet in the back loop, the special stitches take a bit of skill so you may want to watch how I make one just to get the idea.
That’s it for now! I hope you love making this one!
