Introducing Arabella, an all new afghan pattern! This little baby has been in the works a while now, so I’m very excited to share it with you.
Arabella is a fully customizable assembly of motifs – a main, somewhat floral motif alternates with a simple plain motif, with an optional extension, and a fancy fancy border. The pattern includes 8 ideas for different ways to layout your own project, but really, you can do anything you want with the motifs and extension.
Ok, but here’s my favorite part… We’re going to crochet along this pattern starting July 26, 2019!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a CAL. Ok, a long while. The last one was Stardust Melodies about two years ago. So, I thought it would be more fun to do an event where we can work together. I’m also going to bump it up with full video tutorials for every bit!
Details
To join the CAL you’ll need to buy your pattern, which is on pre-sale through the first day of the CAL. The pattern will be released in parts, weekly on Fridays starting July 26th through September 19th. Each week you’ll receive an email and Ravelry message when the new part to the pattern is available for download.

Next, you’ll want to join one of the two groups where the CAL will be held:
The Polly Plum Pattern Posse on Facebook
Details on yarn requirements are found in the pattern.
For my sample I’ve used Stylecraft Batik DK in Graphite, Coral, Gold, Rose, Sage, Teal, and Silver. Please consider using my affiliate link to Deramores (right) to purchase your yarn. The cost is exactly the same to you, but I get a small commission for anything you buy.
That’s all for now! I hope you’ll consider joining the event and share pictures of your afghan with us. And if you have any questions, the best place to get fast answers is in either of the groups or by messaging me on Ravelry or Facebook.
Please check out the Patterns page here on Every Trick on the Hook or my Ravelry store to see more of my patterns, both free and paid.
The best way to keep up with my goings-on is to follow Every Trick on the Hook on Facebook. You can also message me there, post on the wall, and follow my posts for the latest news.
If you’re looking for a more interactive Facebook experience, join the Polly Plum Pattern Posse Facebook group. We’re a fun and supportive group. Really! There’s so much help there that chances are your question will be answered by someone before I even see it. It’s the best place to go with a question. It’s also a great place to share your Polly Plum makes and see what others are making.
If Facebook isn’t your thing you can also join the Ravelry group – Polly’s Place or follow @polly_plum_crochet on Instagram

The pattern is available, but the sale is over. Sales do happen fairly regularly if that’s something you’d like to wait for. If you join the Polly Plum Pattern Posse on Facebook, we’re working on it there, but we all go at our own pace as needed. There’s plenty of people who haven’t been able to start yet. So you’re more than welcome to start whenever you like.
